Many early years practitioners are now reporting that children start nursery or primary school lacking in the full range of fundamental movement skills.

By six years of age, a child has typically been able to run, jump, hop, skip, climb, throw, catch and kick. These abilities to learn movement competence create the essential nerve cell networks which are the very essence of the learning process.

Bounce Early Years Activity can attend your nursery or school and deliver a tailored programme of enjoyable age-appropriate activity for physical improvement, fitness and fun.

As part of our service, with the SHANARRI indicators at the heart of the development of our sessions, we can provide nursery and primary staff with links to Curriculum for Excellence outcomes for all of our activities.

Children can also be assessed at the start of a programme with a view to creating an individual development plan or simply help with areas of difficulty or development delay.

Games and exercises are designed and themed to specifically help improve key skills such as balance, jumping, rolling, proprioception, running, skipping and flexibility, in addition to helping develop confidence, focus and social skills,

without focusing on a particular sport. A good foundation of physical activity will aid the development of both gross and fine motor skills in order that children can go on to improve and excel in their favourite activities and live and healthier and more productive life.

A programme of activities can be delivered across an 8, 10 or 12 week block. Please contact us to discuss any specific requirements and costs.
